Challenge Two

For challenge two, my concept is "tension of opposites and the product is athletic shoes. This was formerly Kelsey's project. She explored light, texture and color to create visual tension. To carry the concept further, I am exploring inorganic vs. organic materials and a struggle for dominance in a retail environment. Questions that come to mind are what are the materials used in athletic shoes? Another form of tension I am thinking about are hard vs. soft materials. Tension in the human body in motion, such as when running or jumping, through stretching and contracting of tendons and muscles is also an area I am exploring. I'll probably concentrate on the anatomy of the human foot.
